Underground River Cave
Come and explore the amazing underground river on Mt Buffalo. The Underground River is a unique experience that is perfect for the hot months of the year. It's dark, squeezy and a memorable challenge!
You will be assisted by experienced guides as you explore the 350m infill cave by scrambling, squeezing and climbing over, under and around boulders and through waterfalls. You’ll find yourself wading through rock pools and gazing up at the endemic glow worms throughout the tour, which is the perfect way to spend a hot day at Mount Buffalo.
This experience is great for everyone ages 10 and up, who have a moderate fitness level and who are ready for a challenge. We’ll start by gearing up with all the equipment to keep you more comfortable, then take a short, scenic walk from the gorge carpark to the entrance of the Underground River.
